Blair Community Schools, A Special Place For Special People

Welcome to the Blair Community School District. The school district of Blair encompasses over 142 square miles and services the northeastern portion of Washington County, including the city of Blair. Currently, student enrollment for grades K-12 exceeds 2,200 students. 154 certified staff members and 117 support staff are employed to ensure the best education possible for our youth.

Blair is one of the 25 largest school districts in the State of Nebraska and maintains the highest accreditation from the Nebraska State Department of Education, as well as membership in the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges. The patrons of the Blair Community School District have made a commitment to quality education, and this is reflected by the excellent facilities available to our students. The three K-2 elementary schools have recently been remodeled and each has received an addition. Blair High School opened to student in 1970.

A full range of academic and activity programs ensure that the young people of the Blair Community School District are given every opportunity to explore their potential. Computer technology is emphasized at all levels. Every classroom in the district is networked and Internet accessible. Students are challenged in a core curriculum of language arts, social studies, science and mathematics. Additional courses are offered in fine arts, physical education, health, vocational education and computer education. Over 60 separate clubs, organizations, activities, and athletic teams are part of the strong co-curricular program in the Blair school system.
